Terms of Use

YourStory: Your Romance

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and StoryForge Consulting Ltd, a private limited liability company incorporated in the Republic of Cyprus under the Companies Law, Cap. 113, with registration number HE 494506 and its registered office at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS, CYPRUS] (“StoryForge”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT PROVISIONS THAT LIMIT OUR LIABILITY, SET OUT HOW SUBSCRIPTIONS AUTOMATICALLY RENEW, AND (IF YOU LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES) REQUIRE YOU TO RESOLVE DISPUTES THROUGH INDIVIDUAL BINDING ARBITRATION AND WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION (SEE SECTION 22).

1. About these Terms

1.1 Scope. These Terms govern your access to and use of the “YourStory: Your Romance” mobile application for iOS and Android, the website at example.com and any related sub-domains, web applications, share links, share cards, emails, notifications, features, content and services that we provide (together, the “Service”).

1.2 Acceptance. By creating an account, tapping “Continue”, “Sign up”, “Agree” or a similar button, or by otherwise accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by the documents referred to in them, including our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and, if applicable, our Partner Programme Terms (together, the “Agreement”). If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

1.3 Other terms. If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the terms of that store also apply to your download and to purchases made through it. Section 24 contains additional terms that apply to app store users. If there is a conflict between these Terms and any other document, these Terms prevail unless the other document expressly states otherwise, except that mandatory app store rules prevail to the extent required.

1.4 Changes to these Terms. We may change these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service, new features, legal or regulatory requirements, or our business. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable advance notice (normally at least 15 days) by in-app notice, email or another appropriate method, unless the change is required urgently for legal, security or safety reasons, in which case it may take effect immediately. The updated Terms take effect on the date stated. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may close your account and cancel your subscription before the change takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. Changes will not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before the change.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Adults only. The Service is intended only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, and at least the age of legal majority in the place where you live if that is higher, to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2.2 No use by minors. The Service is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under 18. If we learn or reasonably suspect that a user is under 18, we will terminate the account and delete the associated data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you believe a minor is using the Service, please contact us at safety@example.com.

2.3 Other eligibility requirements. You also represent and warrant that: (a) you have full legal capacity to enter into this Agreement; (b) you are not prohibited from receiving the Service under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction; (c) you are not located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions or embargoes imposed by the European Union, the United Nations, the United Kingdom or the United States, and you are not listed on, or owned or controlled by anyone listed on, any sanctions or restricted-party list; and (d) we have not previously suspended or terminated your account for breach of these Terms.

2.4 Personal use. The Service is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use only, except where you participate in our Partner Programme under Section 13 or we otherwise agree in writing.

3. What the Service is

3.1 Personalised AI fiction. YourStory uses artificial intelligence (“AI”) to generate personalised, serialised romantic fiction based on information you provide, such as your preferred genres and authors, your answers to our questionnaire, your zodiac sign, the description of your hero and love interest, your fantasy prompt and, if you choose, your profile photo. The Service may also generate illustrations, cover art, chapter images, share cards and short video highlights.

3.2 Everything generated is AI-generated fiction. All stories, chapters, titles, summaries, quotes, images, videos and other material generated by the Service (“Generated Content”) are produced automatically by AI systems, including third-party AI models. Generated Content is fiction created for entertainment purposes only. It is not written, reviewed or approved by a human author before you see it, and it does not reflect the views, opinions or endorsement of StoryForge.

3.3 Mature romantic themes. The Service is designed for adult readers of romance fiction. Generated Content may include romantic, sensual and suggestive situations, intense emotions, conflict, jealousy, heartbreak and other mature themes. The Service is designed not to produce sexually explicit or pornographic content, and we use technical safeguards to limit such content, but AI systems are imperfect and we cannot guarantee that every output will match your expectations, your preferred level of intensity or our own content standards. If you encounter content that you believe breaches our standards, please report it using the in-app “Report” function.

3.4 Not advice; not reality. Generated Content does not describe real events or real people (other than you, to the extent you choose to be the protagonist). Nothing in the Service, including any astrological, zodiac, relationship, personality or compatibility element, constitutes psychological, medical, relationship, legal, financial or other professional advice, or any prediction about your life or relationships. Zodiac and personality inputs are used as creative prompts only. The depiction of any behaviour, relationship dynamic or situation in Generated Content is not an endorsement or recommendation of it. If you are experiencing distress, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

3.5 Authors and style. When you tell us about your favourite authors, we use this information only as a general indication of your tastes in genre, tone and style. StoryForge and the Service are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any author, publisher or rights holder, and Generated Content is not written by, and must not be presented as written by, any author you name. The Service is not designed to reproduce any author’s copyrighted text, characters or settings.

3.6 No guarantee of results. AI output is probabilistic. Generated Content may be inaccurate, inconsistent, repetitive, unoriginal, similar or identical to content generated for other users, or may contain errors, continuity mistakes or elements you find unsatisfying. Stories may deviate from your inputs, may not reach a conclusion within any particular number of chapters, and target story lengths are estimates only. We do not guarantee any particular quality, originality, length, plot, ending, style or outcome.

4. Your account

4.1 Registration. To use most of the Service you must create an account using an email address and password or a supported third-party sign-in (such as Sign in with Apple or Google). You must verify your email address where requested. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date.

4.2 One person, one account. Your account is personal to you. You must not share your login credentials, allow others to use your account, create accounts for anyone else, create multiple accounts to obtain additional free chapters, trials, referral benefits or other promotional benefits, or sell, transfer or license your account.

4.3 Security. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it, except to the extent caused by our breach of these Terms. You must notify us immediately at support@example.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

4.4 Account deletion. You may delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play; you must cancel it through the relevant store (see Section 12). When your account is deleted, your stories, chapters, reading progress, unused chapter allowances, credits and other account content will be permanently lost and cannot be restored, and any content you shared or published will cease to be available to others, subject to our Privacy Policy and our legal retention obligations.

5. Your inputs and your photo

5.1 Inputs. “Inputs” means all information and material you provide to the Service, including questionnaire answers, preferences, favourite authors and genres, character names and descriptions, fantasy prompts, zodiac sign, profile photos, bookmarks, highlights, quotes, reviews, ratings, feedback, support messages and any other text, images or data you submit.

5.2 Your responsibility for Inputs. You are solely responsible for your Inputs. You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all rights, licences, consents and permissions necessary to submit your Inputs and to grant the licences in these Terms; (b) your Inputs, and our use of them as permitted by these Terms, will not infringe or violate any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, personality or other rights, or any law; and (c) your Inputs comply with Section 7.

5.3 Sensitive and personal information. Your Inputs may reveal personal preferences, including in relation to romance, relationships and the gender of characters you wish to read about. We process this information only as described in our Privacy Policy and, where required by law, only with your explicit consent. Please do not include in your Inputs information you do not wish us to process, and do not include personal information about other identifiable people.

5.4 Profile photo. If you choose to upload a profile photo, you represent and warrant that: (a) the photo is of you and not of any other person; (b) you are at least 18 years old; (c) the photo does not show any person under 18, nudity, or any other content prohibited by Section 7; and (d) you consent to the photo being used to personalise your experience and, where the feature is available, to generate illustrations or video featuring a stylised character inspired by your appearance. We do not use your photo to identify you or to create a biometric template. Uploading a photo is optional, and you may remove or replace it at any time in Settings.

6. Generated Content

6.1 You direct the generation. You acknowledge that Generated Content is created in response to your Inputs and that you are responsible for the Inputs you choose to provide and for how you use, share or publish Generated Content.

6.2 Similar output. Due to the nature of AI, Generated Content produced for you may be similar or identical to content produced for other users. Other users’ Generated Content is not your Generated Content, and you have no claim against us or any other user in respect of similarities.

6.3 AI labelling. Generated Content may be labelled, watermarked or accompanied by metadata indicating that it was generated by AI and by YourStory. You must not remove, obscure or alter any such label, watermark, metadata or branding, and you must not present Generated Content as having been created by a human without AI assistance where doing so would mislead others.

6.4 Review before sharing. You must review Generated Content before you share or publish it and you are solely responsible for deciding whether it is appropriate to share or publish.

6.5 Availability of Generated Content. Generated Content is made available within the Service and may be modified, regenerated, withheld or removed by us, including for safety, legal, technical or quality reasons. We are not a storage or archiving service and do not guarantee that any story, chapter, image or video will remain available for any period. If generation fails, we will use reasonable efforts to allow you to retry, and any chapter allowance consumed by a failed generation that we confirm did not deliver a readable chapter will be restored or credited in accordance with our then-current practices.

7. Content standards and acceptable use

7.1 Zero tolerance for content involving minors. You must not, under any circumstances, submit Inputs or attempt to cause the Service to generate content that depicts, describes, suggests or involves any person under 18 (or any character who is, appears to be, or is described as being under 18) in any romantic, sexual, sexualised or suggestive context. All characters in romantic or sensual scenarios must be adults. This includes the hero, the love interest and any other character. We will terminate the account of anyone who breaches this rule immediately and without notice, and we will report apparent child sexual abuse material or child exploitation to the appropriate law enforcement authorities and organisations.

7.2 Prohibited content. You must not submit Inputs, or use any feature (including sharing, publishing, reviews and video generation) to create, request, share or publish content that:

  1. is sexually explicit, pornographic, or intended to circumvent our limits on explicit content;

  2. depicts or promotes non-consensual sexual activity, sexual violence, incest, bestiality or sexual exploitation of any kind;

  3. depicts, targets, sexualises, impersonates or refers to a real, identifiable person (including celebrities, public figures, influencers, acquaintances, former partners or colleagues) other than yourself, or uses any other person’s name, image or likeness without their consent;

  4. is defamatory, harassing, threatening, bullying, hateful, or discriminates against or incites violence or hatred towards any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or any other protected characteristic;

  5. glorifies, promotes or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, terrorism, violent extremism, criminal activity, weapons, or the manufacture or use of illegal drugs;

  6. infringes any copyright, trade mark, publicity right, privacy right or other right of any person, including by requesting the reproduction of copyrighted books, lyrics, poems, characters, settings or artwork, or content “in the words of” an identified author;

  7. contains personal data of others (including addresses, phone numbers, identification numbers or financial information), or any of your own sensitive information that you do not wish us to process;

  8. is spam, advertising, a chain letter, a pyramid scheme, or contains malicious code, links to malicious sites or phishing content; or

  9. is otherwise unlawful, harmful, deceptive or objectionable, or would expose StoryForge, its providers or other users to harm or liability.

7.3 Prohibited conduct. You must not, and must not attempt to or assist anyone else to:

  1. use the Service in breach of any applicable law or regulation;

  2. bypass, disable or interfere with any content filter, safety system, usage limit, chapter allowance, paywall, entitlement check, geographic restriction or security feature, including through “jailbreaking”, prompt injection, adversarial prompts or manipulation of the app or its network traffic;

  3. copy, scrape, crawl, harvest or extract data or content from the Service by automated means, or use the Service or any Generated Content to develop, train, fine-tune, benchmark or improve any AI model, dataset or competing product or service;

  4. reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt or derive the source code, prompts, model instructions, algorithms or system architecture of the Service, except to the extent that such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;

  5. copy, modify, frame, mirror, sell, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute or commercially exploit the Service or Generated Content other than as expressly permitted by these Terms;

  6. access or use the Service through any unofficial client, bot, emulator or automated system, or create accounts by automated means;

  7. interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the servers and networks connected to it, or overload our infrastructure;

  8. manipulate ratings, reviews, “most read” or “most saved” rankings, referral attribution or any other metric, including through fake accounts, reciprocal arrangements, paid reviews or self-referral;

  9. misuse the reporting, notice or complaint mechanisms, including by submitting notices or complaints that are manifestly unfounded;

  10. impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity, including StoryForge; or

  11. use the Service in any way that we reasonably believe is abusive, fraudulent or harmful to StoryForge, other users or third parties.

7.4 Consequences. If we reasonably believe that you have breached this Section 7 or any other part of these Terms, we may, without liability and in addition to any other remedy: refuse to generate content; remove, block or restrict access to any Inputs, Generated Content or User Content; restrict features such as sharing, publishing or reviews; suspend or terminate your account; forfeit unused allowances and credits (subject to your statutory rights); and report the matter to law enforcement or other authorities. Section 10 explains how we notify you and how you can challenge our decisions.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 Our rights. The Service and everything in it (other than your Inputs), including the software, source code, apps, website, prompts, prompt templates, story frameworks, questionnaires, databases, designs, user interface, graphics, logos, the names “YourStory” and “YourStory: Your Romance”, trade marks, trade dress and all related know-how, together with all intellectual property rights in them, are owned by StoryForge or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark, database and other laws. Except for the limited licences expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are granted to you, whether by implication, estoppel or otherwise.

8.2 Licence to use the Service. Subject to your continuing compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to download and install the app on devices that you own or control, and to access and use the Service, for your personal, non-commercial entertainment in accordance with these Terms.

8.3 Ownership of Generated Content. Generated Content is produced by our systems using our prompts, frameworks and technology. As between you and StoryForge, and to the extent that any intellectual property rights subsist in Generated Content, StoryForge owns all right, title and interest in and to the Generated Content, and you hereby assign to StoryForge any rights you may acquire in Generated Content (excluding your underlying Inputs). To the extent any such assignment is not effective under applicable law, you grant StoryForge an exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable and sublicensable licence to exercise all such rights. You acknowledge that AI-generated material may not be protected by copyright in some jurisdictions and that we make no representation that any rights subsist in Generated Content.

8.4 Your licence to Generated Content. Subject to your continuing compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free licence to: (a) read, view and enjoy the Generated Content created for your account within the Service; (b) share Generated Content using the sharing features we provide in the Service; and (c) post share cards, short quotes and excerpts (and, where available, video highlights) generated through the Service on your personal social media accounts, provided that the YourStory branding, AI labelling and share link are kept intact. You must not otherwise reproduce, publish, sell, license, adapt, print, translate, or commercially exploit Generated Content (for example, by publishing it as an e-book, printing it, selling it, or using it in advertising for any other product), unless we agree in writing or you are an approved Partner acting under Section 13.

8.5 Licence you grant us over your Inputs and User Content. You retain whatever ownership rights you have in your Inputs. You grant StoryForge and its affiliates, service providers and sub-processors a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, translate, create derivative works of, transmit, display and use your Inputs, reviews, ratings and any content you share or publish (“User Content”) for the purposes of: (a) operating, providing, maintaining, securing and personalising the Service for you; (b) enabling the sharing, publishing, Explore, reviews and other social features you choose to use; (c) complying with law and enforcing these Terms; and (d) developing, testing and improving the Service, including our prompts, safety systems and AI features, in each case in accordance with our Privacy Policy. For User Content you publish or share publicly (including published stories, reviews and ratings), the licence also includes the right to display, distribute and promote such content in connection with the Service, including in marketing materials in any media (for example, “top rated” story showcases), for as long as the content remains published and for a reasonable period afterwards to allow removal from materials already in circulation. Personal data contained in your Inputs is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which prevails over this Section 8.5 where it provides greater protection.

8.6 Waiver of moral rights. To the extent permitted by law, you waive, and agree not to assert, any moral rights or similar rights that you may have in your User Content or in Generated Content against StoryForge or those authorised by it.

8.7 Feedback. If you give us any suggestions, ideas, feedback, chapter or book ratings, or reports (“Feedback”), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable and sublicensable right to use and exploit that Feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution to you. We are not obliged to use any Feedback.

9. Sharing, publishing, Explore and reviews

9.1 How sharing works. You may be able to share the app, a book or a chapter with others using a share card, a link, a QR code or social media. When you share a book or chapter, recipients receive access to the chapters you have unlocked in that book, including chapters you unlock in the future, for as long as sharing remains active. Recipients do not receive their own copy of the story, cannot unlock chapters in your story and maintain their own reading progress.

9.2 Think before you share. Your stories may include your name or nickname, details from your questionnaire, your fantasy prompt, descriptions of characters and, if you uploaded a profile photo, illustrations inspired by your appearance. Anyone who obtains a share link may be able to access the shared content, and share links and share cards may be forwarded, screenshotted, previewed on social media platforms and indexed beyond our control. You are solely responsible for deciding what to share and with whom. We are not responsible for how recipients or third-party platforms use content you share.

9.3 Publishing to Explore. You may choose to publish a story so that it can be discovered, saved, read, rated and reviewed by other users in the public library (“Explore”). Publishing makes the story, its title, cover, description, chapters you have unlocked, your display name and related metadata visible to all users of the Service. We may display published stories in rankings, categories and recommendations. We may decline to publish, or may unpublish, any story at our discretion, including for quality, safety or legal reasons.

9.4 Revoking and unpublishing. You may turn off sharing or unpublish a story at any time. When you do, users who accessed the story through your link or saved it from Explore will lose access within a reasonable time. Unpublishing or revoking does not affect copies, screenshots or share cards that others have already made or distributed, and does not require us to remove content from marketing materials already in circulation.

9.5 Content shared with you. Stories shared with you or published by others are other users’ Generated Content. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for them. You must use them only for personal reading within the Service. Access to shared and published content can end at any time without notice, for example if the owner revokes access, unpublishes the story, deletes their account or is suspended.

9.6 Reviews and ratings. Reviews and ratings must reflect your genuine experience of the story or chapter you have actually read. You must not post reviews that are false, misleading, paid for, incentivised without disclosure, abusive, or that contain personal data or content prohibited by Section 7. We do not verify every review but may take steps to check authenticity and may remove, refuse or reorder reviews that we reasonably believe breach these Terms. Rating calculations and rankings are determined by our algorithms and may change at any time.

9.7 Share card and link data. When you create a share link, we generate a preview (including cover art, title and optional quote) that may be displayed by social media and messaging platforms. If you share as an approved Partner, the link may be associated with your partner code for attribution purposes (see Section 13).

10. Content moderation, notices and complaints

10.1 Our approach. We are not obliged to monitor Inputs, Generated Content or User Content, but we may use automated tools and human review to detect, prevent and act on content and conduct that breaches these Terms or the law. Automated systems may make mistakes, including by blocking permissible content.

10.2 Reporting illegal or prohibited content. Anyone may notify us of content on the Service that they consider to be illegal or in breach of these Terms, using the in-app “Report” function or by emailing report@example.com. Where possible, a notice should include: (a) a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why the content is considered illegal or in breach; (b) a clear indication of its exact location (such as the share link, story title and chapter); (c) the name and email address of the person submitting the notice (except for notices relating to child sexual abuse material); and (d) a statement confirming the good-faith belief that the information in the notice is accurate and complete. We will process notices in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner and will inform the person submitting the notice of our decision.

10.3 Statement of reasons. If we remove, disable access to, demote or restrict your content, or suspend or terminate your account or payments, we will, where required by law and where we have your contact details, provide you with a statement of the reasons for our decision, including whether automated means were used, unless doing so would be unlawful or would compromise an investigation or the safety of any person.

10.4 Complaints. If you disagree with a moderation decision, you may submit a complaint through the Service or to appeals@example.com within six months of the decision. We will review your complaint under the supervision of an appropriately qualified member of staff and inform you of the outcome. You may also have the right to refer the matter to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or to pursue remedies before a court, in accordance with applicable law.

10.5 Single point of contact. Our electronic point of contact for communications with authorities of EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, and for users, is dsa@example.com. Communications may be in English or Greek.

10.6 Intellectual property complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please send a notice to copyright@example.com containing: (a) identification of the protected work; (b) the location of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law; (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on its behalf; and (f) your physical or electronic signature. Where applicable, we will respond in accordance with the EU Digital Services Act and the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act. We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

10.7 Misuse. We may suspend, for a reasonable period and after a prior warning, the processing of notices and complaints from anyone who frequently submits manifestly unfounded notices or complaints, and we may suspend users who frequently provide manifestly illegal content.

11. Free access, subscriptions and purchases

11.1 Free access. New users may read a limited number of chapters of their first story free of charge (currently the first six chapters of the first story). The amount of free access, and any other free features, may be changed, limited or withdrawn by us at any time and are available only once per person, per device and per payment method. We may refuse free access where we suspect abuse.

11.2 Subscription plans. After free access ends, continued generation and unlocking of new chapters requires an active paid subscription (or free trial) and available chapter allowance. We currently offer several monthly subscription tiers (for example, Basic, Member and Premium), each with different limits on the number of ongoing stories, chapters per day or per month, video generations and other features. The current plans, prices, limits and inclusions are displayed in the app before you purchase and form part of your agreement with us. Plan names, features and limits may change in accordance with Section 11.10.

11.3 Chapter allowances. Unless the plan description states otherwise: (a) daily chapter allowances reset each day at the time we specify and unused daily allowances do not roll over or accumulate; (b) monthly allowances reset at the start of each billing period and unused monthly allowances do not roll over; (c) allowances apply per account and cannot be transferred; and (d) chapters in shared or published books that you read as a recipient do not consume your allowance. When generation of a new story, sequel or prequel starts and you have no allowance available, chapters may be generated but remain locked until allowance becomes available or you purchase additional chapters.

11.4 Free trial. We may offer a free trial of a subscription (currently 14 days). To start a trial you must provide valid payment details through the app store or our payment provider. Unless you cancel before the end of the trial period (for app store purchases, at least 24 hours before the trial ends), your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you will be charged the subscription price shown at the time of sign-up at the end of the trial and at the start of each subsequent billing period. Trials are limited to one per person and we may refuse or end a trial where we suspect abuse. Some features may be unavailable during a trial.

11.5 Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period for the same period at the then-current price, and you authorise us (or the relevant app store or payment provider) to charge your payment method on each renewal, until you cancel. We will remind you of renewals and price changes where required by law.

11.6 One-time purchases. You may be able to purchase additional chapters (for example, “Unlock 1 chapter”), additional video generations or other one-time items (“One-Time Purchases”). Prices are shown in the app before purchase. One-Time Purchases give you a limited, personal, revocable licence to unlock the relevant content or feature within the Service; they have no monetary value, are not currency or property, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged. Unused purchased chapters and credits may expire as stated at the point of purchase or, if no period is stated, 12 months after purchase, and are forfeited if your account is terminated for breach of these Terms, subject always to your statutory rights.

11.7 Where you buy. You may purchase through the Apple App Store, Google Play or, where offered, directly on our website through our third-party payment processor [PAYMENT PROCESSOR, e.g. Stripe]. Purchases through an app store are processed by that store and are subject to its terms, payment methods, billing cycles and refund policies. Web purchases are processed by our payment processor and are subject to these Terms. Subscriptions purchased on one platform may not be manageable on another platform.

11.8 Prices and taxes. Prices are shown in your local currency where available and include applicable VAT or sales tax where required by law; otherwise taxes will be added at checkout. We may run promotional prices or discounts, which apply only for the period and to the users stated. You are responsible for any bank, currency conversion or foreign transaction fees charged by your payment provider.

11.9 Payment authorisation. You represent that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend or downgrade your access until payment is made. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute for a charge that was validly incurred, we may suspend or terminate your account and recover any amounts owed together with reasonable costs of recovery.

11.10 Changes to plans and prices. We may change subscription prices, plan features, allowances and limits from time to time. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price increase to your existing subscription (normally at least 30 days, or as required by the app store or by law). The increase will apply from your next renewal after the notice period. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect. Where required by law or app store rules, we will seek your consent to the new price, and if you do not consent your subscription will end at the end of the current period.

11.11 Upgrades and downgrades. When you upgrade your plan, the new plan may take effect immediately and you may be charged a pro-rated or full amount as shown at the time of upgrade. Downgrades normally take effect at the next renewal date. If a downgrade reduces your number of permitted ongoing stories, you may need to complete or archive stories before starting new ones.

12. Cancellation, refunds and your right of withdrawal

12.1 How to cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time:

  1. Apple App Store: in your device Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or as described by Apple;

  2. Google Play: in the Google Play Store app > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, or as described by Google;

  3. Web purchases: in the app or website under Settings > Subscription, or by contacting support@example.com.

Deleting the app or your account does not cancel an app store subscription.

12.2 Effect of cancellation. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or trial period). You will keep access to your paid plan until then. You will not be charged for subsequent periods. After your subscription ends, you will keep access to chapters you have already unlocked for as long as your account remains active, but you will not be able to unlock or generate new chapters beyond any free allowance we may offer.

12.3 Refunds. Except where required by law or expressly stated in these Terms, all fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused allowances, unused chapters or credits, or content you did not read. For purchases made through an app store, refunds are handled solely by Apple or Google under their respective policies, and we have no ability to issue them. Nothing in this Section affects any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law, including in respect of digital content or services that are faulty or not as described.

12.4 EU, EEA and UK right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you normally have a right to withdraw from a contract for digital content or digital services within 14 days without giving any reason. By purchasing a subscription, starting a paid plan at the end of a trial, or making a One-Time Purchase, you expressly request and consent to us beginning performance immediately, including by making chapters, stories, videos and other digital content available to you, and you acknowledge that: (a) for digital content (such as an unlocked chapter or a generated video) not supplied on a tangible medium, you lose your right of withdrawal once supply has begun; and (b) for digital services (such as your subscription), if you withdraw within the 14-day period you will be required to pay an amount proportionate to what has been provided up to the time you inform us of your withdrawal, and you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. We will confirm this consent and acknowledgement to you on a durable medium. To exercise any remaining withdrawal right, contact support@example.com with a clear statement of your decision, or use the model withdrawal form below. For app store purchases, you may also need to request a refund from Apple or Google.

Model withdrawal form: To StoryForge Consulting Ltd, [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS], support@example.com: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following digital content / digital service: [ ]. Ordered on [ ]. Name of consumer: [ ]. Email address of account: [ ]. Date: [ ].

12.5 United States auto-renewal disclosures. If you are located in the United States, you acknowledge that the auto-renewal terms, cancellation policy, recurring charge amount, billing frequency and trial conversion terms were clearly and conspicuously disclosed to you before purchase, and you affirmatively consented to them. You may cancel online at any time as described in Section 12.1.

13. Partner Programme and referral codes

13.1 Partners. We may, at our sole discretion, invite certain users (such as content creators and influencers) to become partners (“Partners”). Partner status, partner codes and any associated commission, revenue share or other compensation are governed by a separate written agreement or Partner Programme Terms, which prevail over these Terms in relation to the Partner relationship. Unless and until you have signed such an agreement, you are not entitled to any compensation, and nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, agency, employment or joint venture relationship between you and StoryForge.

13.2 Disclosure obligations. Partners and anyone who receives any benefit from us for promoting the Service must clearly and conspicuously disclose their relationship with us in every promotion (for example, using “#ad”, “#sponsored” or the platform’s paid partnership tools) and must comply with all applicable advertising, consumer protection and influencer marketing laws and guidelines, including the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and the US Federal Trade Commission Endorsement Guides, as well as the terms of the platforms on which they post. Partners must not make false or misleading claims about the Service, its pricing, its AI capabilities or its content, must not target minors, and must not present Generated Content as their own human-authored work.

13.3 Referral codes. New users may be able to enter a partner code during registration. Codes can only be applied before registration is completed, cannot be added or changed afterwards, and cannot be used by the Partner themselves or by existing users. Only one code may be applied per account and attribution cannot be overwritten. Any benefit offered for applying a code (such as additional free chapters) is as described in the app at the time, is personal, non-transferable, has no cash value and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. We may refuse, reverse or void any code, attribution or benefit that we reasonably believe results from fraud, self-referral, fake accounts, incentivised sign-ups, or any other breach of these Terms, and we may terminate the accounts involved.

14. Notifications and communications

14.1 Service communications. By creating an account you agree that we may send you service-related communications, including verification emails, password resets, security alerts, purchase and renewal confirmations, notices of changes to these Terms and moderation notices, by email, push notification or in-app message. These communications are part of the Service and you cannot opt out of them while you have an account.

14.2 Push notifications and reminders. With your permission, we may send push notifications, such as chapter-ready reminders, reading-time reminders and new-chapter alerts for books shared with you. You can manage notifications in the app and in your device settings.

14.3 Marketing. We will send you marketing communications only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the message or in Settings.

14.4 Electronic communications. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

15. Third-party services

15.1 The Service relies on and may link to or integrate with third-party services, including app stores, sign-in providers, payment processors, subscription management tools, cloud hosting, AI model providers, analytics providers and social media platforms (“Third-Party Services”). Your use of Third-Party Services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for Third-Party Services, their availability, their content or their acts or omissions, and we do not endorse them.

15.2 Social media platforms may display previews of shared links and share cards according to their own rules. We are not responsible for how such platforms display, store, index or moderate content you share.

16. Availability and changes to the Service

16.1 Changes. We are continually developing the Service. We may add, change, suspend, limit or remove any feature, content, AI model, plan, limit or functionality (including the Explore library, reviews, video generation, sharing and the Partner Programme) at any time, and may restrict the Service in certain countries, platforms or devices. Where a change materially and negatively affects paid features you have already purchased, we will give you reasonable notice and, where required by law, the right to terminate and receive a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of any prepaid period.

16.2 Beta and experimental features. Features identified as “beta”, “preview”, “experimental” or similar are provided for evaluation, may not work correctly, may be withdrawn at any time and are provided “as is” without any commitment.

16.3 Availability. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free or available in any particular location or on any device. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, failures of AI providers or other Third-Party Services, network issues or events beyond our control. Chapter generation may take time and may occasionally fail.

16.4 Updates. You may need to install updates to continue using the app. Some older operating systems or devices may not be supported.

16.5 Discontinuation. We may discontinue the Service entirely. If we do, we will give you reasonable advance notice where practicable and refund any prepaid subscription fees for periods after the discontinuation date, where the purchase was made directly with us, or assist you in seeking a refund from the relevant app store.

17. Suspension and termination

17.1 By you. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Please remember to cancel any subscription (Section 12).

17.2 By us. We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service, or your account, with or without notice, if: (a) you breach these Terms or we reasonably suspect that you have done so; (b) we are required to do so by law, a court order or a regulator; (c) your use creates risk or possible legal exposure for us, our providers or other users; (d) we suspect fraud, payment abuse or chargebacks; (e) your account has been inactive for more than 24 months (after prior notice); or (f) we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. In other cases, we may act immediately.

17.3 Effect. On termination, your licences under these Terms end immediately, you must stop using the Service, and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused portion of a subscription purchased directly from us. If we terminate for your breach, you are not entitled to any refund, except where required by law.

17.4 Survival. Sections 5.2, 6, 7.4, 8 (except 8.2 and 8.4), 11.9, 12.3, 17.3, 17.4 and 18 to 25, and any other provisions which by their nature should survive, survive termination.

18. Disclaimers

18.1 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE, ALL GENERATED CONTENT, USER CONTENT AND ALL OTHER CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. STORYFORGE, ITS AFFILIATES AND ITS AND THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, LICENSORS AND SUPPLIERS (THE “STORYFORGE PARTIES”) EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS AND REPRESENTATIONS, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

18.2 WITHOUT LIMITING THE ABOVE, THE STORYFORGE PARTIES DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR EXPECTATIONS; (B) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE; (C) GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, ORIGINAL, UNIQUE, NON-INFRINGING, APPROPRIATE, INOFFENSIVE, CONSISTENT, COMPLETE OR OF ANY PARTICULAR QUALITY; (D) ANY CONTENT FILTER OR SAFETY SYSTEM WILL PREVENT ALL UNWANTED CONTENT; (E) ANY STORY WILL BE COMPLETED OR WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE; OR (F) ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

18.3 YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT AI SYSTEMS MAY PRODUCE UNEXPECTED, INACCURATE, UNSETTLING OR OFFENSIVE CONTENT, AND THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE AND YOUR RELIANCE ON, SHARING OR PUBLISHING OF ANY GENERATED CONTENT IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

18.4 Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including, for consumers in the EU and EEA, your legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and digital services, and the disclaimers in this Section apply only to the extent permitted by law.

19. Limitation of liability

19.1 Nothing excludes certain liability. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) gross negligence or wilful misconduct; or (d) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection law.

19.2 EXCLUDED LOSSES. SUBJECT TO SECTION 19.1, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE STORYFORGE PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), BREACH OF STATUTORY DUTY, OR OTHERWISE, FOR ANY: (A) INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; (B) LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL OR ANTICIPATED SAVINGS; (C) LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA OR CONTENT, INCLUDING STORIES, CHAPTERS, READING PROGRESS OR BOOKMARKS; (D) EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, EMBARRASSMENT OR REPUTATIONAL HARM ARISING FROM GENERATED CONTENT OR FROM CONTENT YOU OR OTHERS SHARE OR PUBLISH; (E) LOSS ARISING FROM THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF OTHER USERS OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES; OR (F) LOSS THAT WAS NOT REASONABLY FORESEEABLE, IN EACH CASE EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH LOSS.

19.3 LIABILITY CAP. SUBJECT TO SECTION 19.1, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE STORYFORGE PARTIES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SERVICE, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNTS YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO US (OR, FOR APP STORE PURCHASES, THE NET AMOUNT WE RECEIVED FROM YOUR PURCHASES) FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM; AND (B) FIFTY EUROS (EUR 50) OR THE EQUIVALENT IN YOUR LOCAL CURRENCY.

19.4 Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK. If you are a consumer residing in the EU, EEA or UK, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, and Sections 19.2 and 19.3 apply only to the extent permitted by the mandatory laws of your country of residence. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

19.5 Basis of the bargain. You acknowledge that the limitations in this Section reflect a reasonable allocation of risk, are an essential basis of the bargain between you and us, and that the Service would not be offered at the same price or at all without them.

20. Indemnity

20.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the StoryForge Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, fines, penalties, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your Inputs or User Content; (b) your sharing, publishing or other use of Generated Content, including on third-party platforms; (c) your breach of these Terms or of any law; (d) your infringement or violation of any right of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy and publicity rights; (e) your promotional activities as a Partner; or (f) any use of your account.

20.2 We may assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with us. You must not settle any such matter without our prior written consent.

20.3 If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, this Section 20 applies only to the extent that the claim arises from your breach of these Terms or unlawful conduct, and only to the extent permitted by the law of your country of residence.

21. Governing law and jurisdiction

21.1 Governing law. This Agreement, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or the Service, is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence.

21.2 Informal resolution first. Before starting any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@example.com with a written description of your complaint and to try in good faith to resolve it with us informally for at least 60 days.

21.3 Jurisdiction. Subject to Section 22 (for users in the United States) and to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer, the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or the Service. If you are a consumer residing in the EU, EEA or UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and we may bring proceedings against you only in those courts.

21.4 Alternative dispute resolution. Consumers in the EU may also be able to refer a dispute to an alternative dispute resolution body in their country. We are not obliged to, and do not commit to, participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings except where required by law.

21.5 Limitation period. To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Service must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim arises, failing which it is permanently barred.

22. Binding arbitration and class action waiver (United States users)

THIS SECTION APPLIES ONLY IF YOU RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT AND TO HAVE A JURY HEAR YOUR CLAIMS.

22.1 Agreement to arbitrate. You and StoryForge agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement, the Service, or the relationship between you and StoryForge, whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation or any other legal theory, and whether arising before or after you agreed to these Terms (a “Dispute”), will be resolved exclusively by final and binding individual arbitration, except as set out in Section 22.3. The Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. § 1 et seq.) governs the interpretation and enforcement of this Section.

22.2 Class action and jury waiver. YOU AND STORYFORGE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING DISPUTES AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, REPRESENTATIVE OR PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL PROCEEDING. YOU AND STORYFORGE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. The arbitrator may award relief only in favour of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide relief warranted by that party’s individual claim. If this class action waiver is found to be unenforceable with respect to any claim, that claim (and only that claim) must be severed and brought in court, and must be stayed pending completion of the arbitration of any remaining claims.

22.3 Exceptions. Either party may: (a) bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies and remains in that court; and (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation or violation of intellectual property rights or unauthorised access to or misuse of the Service.

22.4 Pre-arbitration notice. Before commencing arbitration, the party asserting the Dispute must send the other a written notice of dispute describing the nature and basis of the claim and the relief sought, including the claimant’s name, account email and signature. Notices to us must be sent to legal@example.com. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the Dispute informally for 60 days after the notice is received, including through an individual telephone or video conference if requested by either party. Any limitation period is tolled during this period.

22.5 Arbitration rules and forum. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, as modified by this Section, and will be conducted by a single arbitrator. The arbitration will be conducted in English, by video conference or on the basis of written submissions where possible, or otherwise in the county where you reside. Payment of filing, administration and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve any dispute about the interpretation, applicability, enforceability or formation of this arbitration agreement, except that a court shall decide any dispute regarding Section 22.2 or Section 22.7.

22.6 Batched proceedings. If 25 or more similar demands for arbitration are filed against StoryForge by or with the assistance of the same law firm or organisation within a 90-day period, the demands will be administered in batches of up to 25 claims each (with only one batch proceeding at a time), with one arbitrator per batch, to the extent permitted by the AAA rules and applicable law. This Section does not prevent the parties from agreeing to resolve the claims through global mediation or settlement.

22.7 30-day right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending an email to legal@example.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out, within 30 days after you first agree to these Terms. If you opt out, neither you nor we can require the other to arbitrate, and Section 21.3 applies. Opting out does not affect any other provision of these Terms.

22.8 Changes. If we make any future material change to this Section 22, you may reject the change by emailing legal@example.com within 30 days of the change, in which case the version of this Section in effect before the change will continue to apply to Disputes between us.

22.9 Severability. Except as provided in Section 22.2, if any part of this Section 22 is found to be unenforceable, that part will be severed and the rest of this Section will remain in effect.

23. General

23.1 Entire agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and StoryForge relating to its subject matter and supersedes all prior agreements, representations and understandings.

23.2 Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer this Agreement, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of all or part of our business or assets, provided this does not reduce your rights as a consumer.

23.3 Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, governmental action, failures of the internet, telecommunications, power or cloud infrastructure, cyber-attacks, and outages or changes to third-party AI models, app stores or payment services.

23.4 Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible or modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

23.5 No waiver. Our failure or delay in enforcing any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.

23.6 No third-party beneficiaries. Except as provided in Section 24 (in relation to Apple and its subsidiaries) and in relation to the StoryForge Parties under Sections 18 to 20, nothing in this Agreement confers any rights on any third party.

23.7 Relationship. Nothing in this Agreement creates any partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between you and StoryForge.

23.8 Language. These Terms are drafted in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law.

23.9 Notices. We may give you notices by email to the address associated with your account, by in-app message or by posting on the Service. Notices to us must be sent to legal@example.com or to our registered office address.

23.10 Export control and sanctions. You must comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws in connection with your use of the Service.

23.11 Headings. Headings are for convenience only. The words “including”, “include” and “for example” mean “including without limitation”.

24. Additional terms for app store users

24.1 Apple App Store. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, and in the event of conflict with the rest of these Terms, this Section 24.1 prevails with respect to your use of the iOS app:

  1. Acknowledgement. This Agreement is concluded between you and StoryForge only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). StoryForge, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.

  2. Scope of licence. The licence granted to you for the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing where applicable.

  3. Maintenance and support. StoryForge is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the app.

  4. Warranty. StoryForge is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be StoryForge’s sole responsibility, subject to the limitations in these Terms.

  5. Product claims. StoryForge, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.

  6. Intellectual property rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, StoryForge, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any such claim.

  7. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that: (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a US Government embargo, or that has been designated by the US Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

  8. Developer contact. Questions, complaints or claims regarding the app should be directed to StoryForge Consulting Ltd, [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS, CYPRUS], support@example.com.

  9. Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).

  10. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement, and upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

24.2 Google Play. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, you acknowledge that this Agreement is between you and StoryForge only, and not with Google LLC or its affiliates (“Google”). Google is not responsible for the app or its content. Your use of Google Play is subject to the Google Play Terms of Service, and purchases through Google Play are subject to Google’s payment and refund policies.
